  1. Soak the urad dal and moong dal in water for at least 4-5 hours.
  2. Drain the water and grind the lentils to a smooth paste. Add a little water if needed.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan for frying. Drop small portions of the lentil batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown. Remove and drain excess oil.
  4. In a bowl, mix yogurt, sugar, salt, and black salt. Whisk it well to make a smooth mixture.
  5. Soak the fried lentil dumplings in a bowl of water for a minute or two. Then squeeze out the water and add them to the yogurt mixture.
